How to Make a Facebook Page that Stands Out

 Facebook is a widely used social media site that can be used for many purposes. There are almost 3 billion users monthly, with 1.9 billion of those users visiting daily. (https://backlinko.com/facebook-users). Whether it’s keeping up with your family members and friends or promoting yourself and your business, it’s very useful. Today I will be telling you all about how to make a Facebook page that will attract customers to your small (or large) business.

According to the book, The Essentials of Social Media Marketing, by Michelle Charello, the first step to making an attractive Facebook page is likely the most important. It is developing a profile and cover photo. These should convey either your mission statement or the logo of your company. The next step is to provide a call to action for the customers. Include an email, phone number, website or any other link to ensure that there is a way to contact you and see what your business has to offer. Along these same lines, you need to make sure to put a location and store hours, so customers know where to find your product/service. Finally, you want to include a description with essential information about your business. For example, we are a cupcake shop selling unique weekly flavors, located in Avon, Ohio. This just informs that customer what the business does.

In addition to setting up a page for your business, you may want to check out Facebook shops. This allows you to set up a free online store. You can link your Shopify or Etsy account for example, to Facebook shops. This allows customers to visit your shop directly and even purchase products without traveling to your physical store. Another thing to consider is to ensure that all hours and information about the business are up-to-date and the links work properly.

    Your insight on creating a Facebook is great! I have tried creating aesthetic social media profiles, but without any luck. No matter how hard I try, my profile never looks as good as I hope! I may try to create an online store on Facebook, as I am planning on branching out from my baking business and creating a clothing line.

    I agree with the best 1st step of creating a good Facebook page! First impressions are so important for you to decide whether keep looking at that page or not.
    I thought Facebook is only for older generation of people, but I learned it's not true.

My Favorite Foods

There are many foods I enjoy and for this blog post I’m going to try to rank my top five. I love going out to restaurants and trying new foods, but these food combinations are tried and true. Thai Fried Rice: This food is heavenly. I could eat Thai fried rice every week for the rest of my life and not get sick of it. This is hands down my favorite food of all time. I used to enjoy Chinese fried rice until I tasted Thai. I think it has to do with the seasonings and spices they put in it. I always get my Thai fried rice with chicken because I’m allergic to shrimp. Debunking Twitter

Hi everyone! Keeping up with the theme of informing you all about what I’ve been learning in my class’s textbook, I will be writing this blog about the innerworkings of Twitter’s algorithm, format and how I feel about the usability of this form of social media. I had Twitter my senior year of high school to keep up with sports events in the high school I went to and my friends. I didn’t follow any businesses. I deleted it and recently redownloaded it 3 years later to see if anything had changed and it hadn’t too much. According to the textbook, “Essentials of Social Media Marketing” the algorithm relies on ranking signals such as recency of the tweet, relevancy (involving keywords), engagement (likes, comments, retweets), the number of followers of the user and location relative to the specific user.
